I feel the grain of the wood<\/span><\/p>\n

Its rich red magnificence<\/span><\/p>\n

And I mourn anew the death of the tree<\/span><\/p>\n

That gave life to my world.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/span><\/p>\n

The steps, the beds, the chairs<\/span><\/p>\n

The Table<\/span><\/p>\n

Defined my life, my love of the woods<\/span><\/p>\n

Now gone<\/span><\/p>\n

Dry disintegrated into iron seared sand<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/span><\/p>\n

My photographs<\/span><\/p>\n

Imprints of a past few will remember<\/span><\/p>\n

But it was my past, my ancestors,<\/span><\/p>\n

And as I visited them<\/span><\/p>\n

I would wonder at their thoughts,<\/span><\/p>\n

Their actions, their loves,<\/span><\/p>\n

Because all that is in them<\/span><\/p>\n
